Islands of Beaufort

If you are looking for a private, gated community within Beaufort city limits, Islands of Beaufort may be for you. Comprised primarily of year-round residents, Islands of Beaufort is a peaceful, park-like haven where you’ll find white picket fences in the natural setting of regal live oaks, traditional palmettos and lofty pines. You will have an opportunity to build your dream home on or near the tidal marshes of Battery creek and enjoy nature at its best. The property is about half an hour from the beach and 10 to 15 minutes from shops, restaurants and other conveniences in and around downtown Beaufort.

Habersham

Newpoint

If you are interested in living on Lady’s Island, overlooking historic Beaufort and the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, the community of Newpoint may be a great place to buy your family home. Touted as “a traditional walking residential neighborhood where front porches foster community and a sense of place,” Newpoint is located on the deep waters of Factory Creek.

The neighborhood features complementary historically-inspired homes on tree-lined streets interspersed with small parks. The homes range in size and price, and the neighborhood attracts a diverse mix of demographics. It also includes a small commercial area where residents can enjoy eating out and doing a little shopping.

The Village of Distant Island

The Village of Distant Island describes itself as “a place where children ride bicycles in our streets; crabbing and fishing off our docks is a commonplace; neighbors know each other by first names.”  People love to gather in the village green, walk along the saltwater vistas, drop anchor during a sundown boat ride, get their hands dirty at the community garden, play a set of tennis, and live among beautiful homes and beautiful nature. They consider the neighborhood a place apart yet a part of historic Beaufort.

Cat Island

Cat Island, actually part of Ladys Island, is only minutes from downtown historic Beaufort.
