OktoPRfest in Port Royal, SC


Now that school is officially underway, the Powell household is looking forward to so many Fall festivals and activities! We love the opportunity to be outside and celebrate a new season. This year we are especially excited to check out OktoPRfest in Port Royal on September 24 from 11am to 5pm. 

According to their website, this year’s “OktoPRfest -Party Port Royal Style features local chefs, restaurants and food trucks serving up German-inspired dishes that will be properly washed down, Oktoberfest-style, with a variety of craft, imported and domestic beers.”

The event hosts, The Port Royal Old Village Association, are  expecting a huge turn out of festival goers headed to the car show, food trucks, craft market, and live music. Read on for some highlights you don’t want to miss!


Food Trucks

Shellring Ale Works A favorite local quality craft brewery, serving a variety of beers including their seasonal Oktoberfest drafts!  

Molly's Fish and Chips You will LOVE their Lobster Mac and Cheese. They are also known for their Fish and Chips, Shrimp&Chips, Shrimp PO Boy and OktoPRfest favorite…Brats!

Sea Island Geechee Kitchen: Jerome & Latoya Simmons bring their families’ best recipes to you. Check out their amazing BBQ Jerk Chicken, Seafood Platter, Oyster Basket, and Boiled Peanuts



Artisans and Craft Vendors

We are hoping for some gorgeous weather to browse all of the amazing artisan and craft stalls at this year’s festival. It’s a great opportunity to support your community and shop for local and one of a kind items from all over the Lowcountry. 

Lowcountry Livin'

For the person who lives here in the Lowcountry, for the ones yet to come, for the ones who visit for a week and the ones who visit for a lifetime, Low Country Livin' is the perfect fit.

Finch Sign and Design Metalworks 

A perfect marriage of Lowcountry imagery and metalworking! Finch Sign and Design specializes in fish and sea life metal pieces and can create metalwork in all different shapes and sizes. Their online gallery is a great starting place for anyone looking to request a custom design. 

Crosby's Cuttings is a must-stop for wood turning and pottery

Family Fun Zone

Your kids will love the Family Fun Zone! Complete with a rock wall, bounce house, train, trampoline area, and high striker game, this kid friendly section of the festival will give you a chance to enjoy some refreshments while your child has a great time! Tux the Clown will also make an appearance from 11am to 1pm. 





Live Music

The Rhinelanders(11am-2pm) Fun festival style German-inspired music including waltz & polkas.

Broke Locals(2:30pm-5pm) “Darkgrass” Band blend of genres influenced by bluegrass and alternative rock.



Beaufort Classic Car and Truck Show

Members of Beaufort Classic Car & Truck Club can register to bring their vehicles to show at the event and all festival-goers can enjoy the collection of classic, restored, and unique vehicles. All vehicles will be at least twenty years old and will be on display from 10am to 2pm. They will also be auctioning off a 1985 Corvette on the day of the event.
